OP just wants to make sure that the free dlc is properly configured, nothing more. So your suggestion to buy multiple copies just to play a free(!) dlc doesn't make much sense. It is working properly for the base game, but it is not for the FREE dlc. You are completely missing the point: this is not about whether the Family Sharing option of Steam is good/bad for companies. You want everything for free? lol Ain't gonna happen boz. I did and it has a hot seat mode to begin with. :) Cough up some cash you got stuffed in your pocket and support a dev like this. So, if you want a family game I suggest buying LIFE but, I'm not sure the whole family can play that one either. This ain't a boardgame and it's not the same "family" value and never has been. Please do not make your DLC like that or we will not be able to play between family accounts, and then the problems with brothers and so come as they would need to use other peoples accounts just to access the dlc. The first one that treat dlc as a unique license that needs to be registered before played, doesn't work with family sharing as nothing free from steam can be shared between accounts. Steam have 2 kinds of free dlcs, one of them is not supported by family sharing.ġ- Free DLC where you need to go to the dlc page and click on download to add it as a license to your account.Ģ- Free DLC that is already included in the game as a patch, that have it's own minisite on steam but doesn't need to be clicked on a "download button" to add it as a licence.Įdit: I put the link with a space in a dot because otherwise steam breaks it. You devs probably don't know it as most of devs doesn't.
